The Materials Manager will oversee the planning, procurement, storage, control, and distribution of materials and products according to company needs and customer requirements.

• BSc/BA in Logistics or relevant field • Proven experience as materials manager. • Experience in shipping and receiving • Familiarity with supply chain and inventory management systems • Understanding of forecasting and budgeting

• The Materials Manager will oversee the planning, procurement, storage, control, and distribution of materials and products according to company needs and customer requirements. Job Details / Responsibilities • To oversee the planning and co-ordination of the Inventory and Purchasing Departments. • To research potential vendors and negotiate best prices. • To manage the entire inventory for raw materials, finished goods, spares and logistics in the Company. • To manage the monthly and year end stock count on spares, raw materials as well as finished goods. Reconcile and report on variances, monitoring of inventory levels. • To advise and make recommendations with regards to the best raw materials and pricing and ensuring that stock levels are maintained. • Manages activities in the Materials Department, to ensure the efficiency of the Company’s operations. • Liaising with Sales (both local and export), Finance and Operations periodically to ensure that stock levels are managed and to identify supply needs. • Implements and maintains cost effective measures, as they relate to controlling operating cost for: human resource allocation, spare parts and consumables, raw materials utilization, etc.
